Adelaide Airport (ADL)
Travel and Ground Transport

(Adelaide, South Australia - SA, Australia)

Adelaide Airport (ADL) offers travellers to South Australia (SA) a good choice of ground transportation options, enabling you to reach your outlying destination with relative ease.

Serving the city and surrounding areas of South Australia (SA), the main travel and transportation facilities at Adelaide Airport include buses, hotel shuttles, car rental and airport taxis.

Buses

Adelaide Airport (ADL) is served by many regular public buses, linking the city centre and its innumerable suburbs. These buses travel every 30 minutes during flight times and provide an extremely useful and cheap way to reach the city centre. Choose between the Skylink Shuttle to the Central Business District / the Keswick Interstate Railway Terminal, and the Adelaide Airport Flyer, which runs to destinations such as the Barossa Valley, Goolwa, Hahndorf, the Mawson Lakes , Mount Barker, Murray Bridge, Paralowie, Salisbury and Victor Harbor, amongst others.

Public transport comes in the form of the JetBus (Terminal 1 / Level 2), which operates a Metroticket service and links the city, the north-easterly neighbourhoods and the Glenelg area.

Hotel Shuttle

Many of the hotels in Adelaide now offer a door-to-door courtesy shuttle bus service for their hotel guests upon request, travelling all the way to the hotel's main entrance from outside of both the Domestic and International passenger buildings. Hotel shuttle buses usually need to be arranged in advance of arrival.

Taxi Cabs

Taxis are plentiful and can be found outside both the ADL Airport Domestic and International Terminal buildings, in the designated rank areas within the forecourts. These offer a simple way to travel into Adelaide city and nearby destinations around South Australia (SA), such as Aberfoyle Park, Aldinga Beach, Christies Beach, Edwardstown, Elizabeth, Gawler, McCracken, McLaren Vale, Mile End, Noarlunga Centre, North Haven, Oaklands Park, Parafield Gardens, Sellicks Beach, Strathalbyn and Wingfield. Official taxis are recommended and are considered the safest and best value. Worth noting, a small charge is always made by taxi cabs departing from the airport.
